What resources exist for those who are uninsured today?

Patients who are uninsured can seek coverage through employment, individual insurance market or state Medicaid programs. If you find that you have a health condition that limits your ability to secure coverage consider purchasing a Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan at www.pcip.gov.

Are Exchanges available now?

They are not, starting in 2014 if your employer doesn’t offer insurance, you will be able to buy exchanges in an Affordable Insurance Exchange.  

I am inquiring about getting assistance for health insurance coverage. I have been newly diagnosed with Imflammory Breast Cancer

If you have remained uninsured for 6 months or more you would be eligible to apply for the state PCIP insurance plan at www.pcip.gov.

I’m a young adult under the age of 26 and I’m on my parents plan now, but I’m scheduled to lose coverage soon.
